ANAMOB – The Romanian National Association of Flour Milling and Baking Industries – is a professional, non-governmental and non-political association. The association is a non-profit legal Romanian entity, registered according to the Romanian Laws.
ANAMOB represents the interests of private millers and bakers, and facilitates economic, financial, and legal contacts with other governmental/non-governmental organisations and companies, local or foreign.
Initially established by 57 companies, in 1994, ANAMOB membership is now 170 members, from all over Romania.
ANAMOB benefitted from the ongoing support of ACDI - Agricultural Cooperative Development International and VOCA - Volunteers in Overseas Cooperative Assistance, both US non-profit organisations, who provided direct technical and financial consultance to millers and bakers, members of the Association. Years ago, ACDI joined VOCA and formed a larger organisation - ACDI/VOCA.
ANAMOB is a member of RBA – Retailer’s Bakery Association, USA, and developed in time close cooperation relationship with AIB – American Institute of Baking, GIA – Grain Industry Alliance, and KSU – Kansas State University, USA.
Beside this relations, already traditional, ANAMOB is currently trying to develop new relations with similar organisations in Europe.
ANAMOB is a member of UGIR 1903 - General Union of Romanian Industries and of ASOA – Strategic Alliance of Romanian Businesses, and has good working contacts with other organisations from the agricultural and industrial sector.
